Sharing Video Clips

Hello, since the most recent update I’m not sure how to share individual clips. I can only share my device with an email address. Is there a way to share these clips still?

Saving and Sharing Videos

You can also save and download individual Event Videos. To do this, tap on the Event Video you are interested in. On the top right of that Event Video you will see Share share.jpg and Download download.png icon .

Does this still work? When I tap on the event video, it runs the event but I see no download or share icon.

Question - When trying to share a video, I thought it best to send it as a Text message, and clicked the “Always” (instead of “Just Once”). Then I found out the video was too big to send as a Text. How do I go back and be able to select the method to share an individual video?

TIA

That’s a function of the OS on your phone so depending which type of phone you have and the OS version you’ll need to go to the relevant system settings and change/reset it.

Welcome to the Forum, @pawsitively!

I believe I was able to replicate and resolve the issue in a response in a related topic. Sharing details about your Android version, SMS app, and perhaps phone model might help others to provide more specific help, since many Android variants exist and settings tend to change somewhat between versions.

@Crease - Thank you for chiming in here, and I love your Bill The Cat.

The “Share” icon appeared in the Wyze app, below “Go Live”, “SD Card”, after a specific video played. When I tapped on it, a dialogue came up requesting how to share the video. I tapped on SMS, and then foolishly tapped on “Always” instead of “Just Once”. This is the selection that I’d like to reverse, and firmly believe it is in the Wyze app.

I am using a Pixel 7 phone running Android version 14

Thanks! :smile_cat:

I was glad to read in the other topic that you were able to get your issue sorted. :+1:
