Service Advisory 02/16/2024

@Loki, thank you for posting.

I am not usually one to complain, but you shouldn’t have to be alerting Wyze staff, they should have posted an official service alert hours ago.

At this point they should have around the clock monitoring in place and issue alerts within minutes.

There are now millions of people dependent on the home monitoring service, the Wyze Lock and their cameras that we have to wait hours to offically find out what we already know.

I am 2000 miles from my home so I have no choice but to sit in the dark.

Not all users on ALL devices but I bet it is over 90% of uses on SOME devices. Either way it is a massive widespread issue. My parents live with me and we count on all the automation to make their life easier. Funny that my little motion detectors will trigger the one light but the garage door and doorbell are offline. I can tell you it is probably some update. I do not auto update my wyze app or devices, I like to tell it when. The devices that are showing online or working are the devices i have NOT updated. The ones I did…oh well

I agree with others completely. Why, as customers, cant we be notified right away when an issue occurs, vs wasting troubleshooting time when it’s a problem on Wyze’s end? Thousands seem affected and are wasting time. Also, your phones say business hours are 5:30 am M-F, PT time ans 15 mins later im still getting " you’ve reached us after business hours"???

Appreciate you posting this however it should be Wyze support staff posting this and a notification should be sent to all of us if there is an outage of any kind. This seriously has me wanting to shop around for alternates maybe even a POE system so I don’t have to rely on a “connected” service.

Come on Wyze you can and need to do better for your customers.

Is this affecting the Wyze Home Monitoring devices?

You’d think they would post something here: https://support.wyze.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015979872-Service-Status-Known-Issues

My pan cameras keep rebooting. Same issues as everyone else.

3 hours and STILL NOTHING on the official Outages page. For paying customers, WYZE needs to step up their game or go home.

Thank you for your help.

But Wyze staff is missing in action and that’s pure lack of consideration for the customer.

EST Time Zone user here, I was wondering why my scheduled vacuum clean at 3am never occurred and then none of the lamps turned on for their wake up routines at 6:30am this morning. I’m guessing this has been going on longer than just the last hour.

All 14 Wyze v1,2,3 cams are out,

All cams are down (Cam Pro, Cam V3, Pan Cam V3)

Except my Cam Telephoto, which seems to be working good right now.

Downdetector indicates Wyze is having problems. I can view Cloud Event videos but the bar remains white after being viewed and does not turn grey.

So I’m starting to wonder if they’ve been hacked and locked out to where staff themselves can’t even access their system. I’m considering unplugging all my cams I guess since they appear to still be transmitting to the ether as events are still populating, I just can’t access my own cams live view…

“ affecting some users and devices.”
:face_with_monocle:

Yes it is affecting my app right now

You’re so cute that you think Wyze cares about their customers. They don’t!

The ability to rate this app in the apple store IS still working. Everyone should open the app store and update the app rating accordingly.

My cameras and lights came back online a few minutes ago.
