Sensor to turn on Wyze plugs

I just put in under cabinet lights which plug into a Wyze plug. I would like a sensor to turn them on for a set time period with motion if they are not already on. How do I do this? I would like to keep it simple.

If you have a Wyze motion sensor (requires Wyze hub to connect to), then it’s simple. You can setup a Wyze automation where the trigger is when the motion sensor detects motion and the action is to turn on the plug for X amount of time.

I do this in several places.

If you want to use a sensor for another company instead, then if the other company works with Alexa, you can have Alexa do it instead.

There are several other more complicated ways of doing it too. I like using multiple motion sensors and combining them together in a group in Home Assistant and tell it to turn lights on when ANY of them are triggered, and only turn them off when ALL of them no longer sense motion.

But keeping it simple would be to just use 1 sensor with Wyze or Alexa rules/automations.

As an update, I purchased a GoVee sensor and it works seamlessly with the Wyze plug and Alexa. My wife is very happy with the result.

This might be the most important part. Thank you for taking the time to post an update. :+1:
