I just installed a floodlight camera, and am disappointed that I don’t see the feature I need. My camera faces a train track with frequent trains. Using the camera for motion detection notification is impossible, because of all the scattered lighting that comes from trains.
I was expecting to have rules based on the PIR detector sensing motion. The trains don’t trihger the PIR. Either I am missing something, or it doesn’t have that capability. I hope my purchase was not a waste.
In the cams event recording settings you can enable the filter by PIR sensor toggle

Thanks IEatBeans. I did set the option you recommended,[quote=“IEatBeans, post:2, topic:254749”]

and I blocked off the area of the train so that it will not optically trigger.
However, I am still getting numerous triggers from the train at night, when reflected light from the train bounces off various objects that are low and in the foreground, and triggers the camera motion. I have trying to fine tune the trigger, and am now at a sensitivity setting on the PIR less than 20%. The drawing from Wyze regarding the operation of the PIR is misleading. It gives the impression the sensitivity adjustment is somehow related to the proximity from the sensor. It is not. It is only related to the relative magnitude of the position change of the heat source. A big hot train engine seems to generate a big heat signature from far away.
