It won’t be coming back. Yes it was a big adjustment for people on the old UI when it went to the new one, but at some point they had to make things consistent across the cams.
I don’t have any v3s, but I have the Panv3s which were fairly similar. I did prefer having the navigation overlaid on the image when in landscape, but I’ve gotten used to double tapping the image to bring it up on the right (or rotating to find the general area I want to be in, then using the skip buttons to navigate when in landscape). It’s just an adjustment.
Please know that you are not alone. I agree 100% and then some! The new UI completely sucks and its usability is piss poor when compared to the old UI.
WYZE doesn’t care though and like others have said, they won’t be going back to what most people never complained about. Instead, they force this new UI on us and disregard everyone that complains.
I preferred having the timeline overlaid on the image on my Panv3s (which was similar to the regular v3). But having 3 different interfaces was annoying too. I am at least glad that everything (including the OGs now) is more consistent, but I’d like to have the timeline overlay back when in portrait mode. But I’m getting used to it, obviously change never makes people happy (at first anyway).
