µSD card playback scrollbar gone in landscape

Android Version 3.7.6 (699) and iOS version 3.7.5 (3)

All cameras that use the New UI (including V3 that used to use the old UI), when viewing µSD card recordings with the phone in landscape, the time scrollbar has disappeared. Used to show up if you tapped on the image, but no more. I use that routinely because when I’m watching something from the µSD card, I almost always use landscape because the image is far larger.

Disappeared a couple months ago for me. Double tap the image and it comes up on the right. No longer overlaid on the image.

The OG never came up for me in landscape and still doesn’t, that one is still using a different vertical timeline.

As @dave27 mentioned mine shows on the right (not overlayed) when I double tap on both V3 and V4. That’s all cameras I have.

Are you still keeping app v2.5xx on a device to have access to the old playback UI when needed like brother @dave27 ?

2.5 has the “Old New” UI :rofl:

Panv3 has some limitations in the 2.5 app ever since they made these changes (waypoints can’t be set or used) but otherwise it is still working for all my cams. I do think I preferred the timeline overlaid on the image in landscape mode, and it is still like that in there. Wish they could make up their mind and streamline everything.

Other benefit of 2.5 is that SD card reviewing on the OG is a lot faster when trying to jump to a random point, hopefully they fix that in 3.5 at some point.

Android has some “sandboxing” ability built in. Might be a potential way for people to run both 3.5 and 2.5 at the same time. My main phone is already using sandboxing for “work apps” so I can’t create another personal one, so haven’t tried it.

Honestly I rarely need to go back to 2.5 anymore, I’ve found ways to navigate SD card on the OG without tapping the timeline (the thing that takes forever) and everything else seems to be working fine in 3.5. Always good to have a backup though.
