Scheduled Maintenance - 2/8/23 12:00 AM PT

I’ve tried all of the tricks, unplug, plug back in, switch to different outlets, restarting, unassigned then reassigned camera’s… Nothing seems to work anymore. I’m hoping that Wyze updates firmware to fix soon. I really like my v3 cams but it’s getting very frustrating.

You don’t mention what firmware version you have on your v3, but here is info on how to manually flash to a different firmware version.

I don’t use an SD card. The firmware version on both of my V3 cams are up to date version 4.36.10.3406

An SD card is only needed if you want to install different firmware on your v3 other than 4.36.10.3406.

Hope the Wyze Team listens to the inputs / feedback provided on this thread and & implements strategy for scheduling the maintenance in the Noon for respective Geo and providing sufficient heads-up.

I am going to look into it because some v3 cam users are saying that when they revert back to an earlier version of firmware, it corrects the stuttering video. Would love to know your thoughts.

I have one v3 on firmware 4.36.10.3406 (released 12/15/2022) and the video jumps/skips. My other v3 cameras on firmware 4.36.9.139 (released 5/18/2022) don’t skip or jump.

I am hopeful Wyze is working on the issue and will release updated firmware that fixes this issue.

Thank you so much! I’m confident that they are working on it. It’s on their list. I just wish they would communicate about it more so folks like me don’t get discouraged. I really like the cameras! The video quality is excellent especially when I compare it wih some of my friends and family who use a popular expensive cam with a much lesser grade of quality. Thanks again Steve. It’s a shame the scheduled maintenance didn’t do anything to fix the 3001 error we keep getting. It seemed like it stopped for a day or 2 after the maintenance but it’s back again today. This problem has been going on for more than 6 months I would think you could have fixed this by now

Just saw thw wyze home Monitoring system maintenance, what a crazy time at night to have the maintenance, why not during the day - at noon???

So upset with the timing of this maintenance, open invite to burglary? Robbery?

Can we have Wyze Team be much more mindful of timing of these maintenance time frame??

Wyze Home Monitoring:

  • Event Videos will not be uploaded to the cloud.
  • AI tags will not be generated.
  • Notifications from that time will not be sent.
  • Arming and disarming through the app will not work.
  • The physical Wyze Sense Keypad will still be able to cancel alarms and arm/disarm your system.
  • Alarms that occur during the maintenance window will trigger the Wyze Sense Hub siren.
  • Noonlight will not be contacted.
