RTSP for V3

I second this, I have been searching for a replacement for my Wyze V3 because of no RTSP. I like the Amcrest cameras. They work well and pretty reliable. There Pan Tilt model which they say is indoor only, I’ve had one outside on my porch where it doesn’t get wet but still deals with the elements and 2yrs still works fine. They have 2.4ghz model and a dual band model as well. There new battery operated camera seems to be there very first without RTSP and I truly hope this isn’t they way manufacturers are steering.

I’ve got a few Ubiquiti cams that are a little more expensive, but not much more. They work fine in standalone mode that will allow for RTSP. Luckily, I work in the CCTV industry to I also have a few $500+ Axis, Hikvision, Hanwha, Avigilon cameras around the house. Mostly use the cheap cameras in the house & utilize the commercial grade stuff outside.

I have a Eufy 2k indoor cam and I just ordered some more. It ticks almost all of the boxes. Relatively cheap at $35-40, on-camera motion/person/pet/face detection, native RTSP, good app. I lose color night vision but it has much better IR night vision because of the higher resolution and more IR LEDs. And it’s not weatherproof, but there are lots of ways of dealing with that.

You’re in the wrong forum. Wyze doesn’t listen to their customers. If you want better customer service you might wanna try a Chinese brand.

He can’t.

He doesn’t speak Chinese

Our team is fluent in English, Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Japanese. What’s your point?

Not sure what you’re suggesting, but Wyze has been excellent to us and all of our clients with countless product purchases and customer service interactions. You might want to look into the background of who you’re actually working with and try to better define what a USA, Chinese, or whatever company is… just like ours, most large companies are very diverse, internationally owned by investors if not by predominantly diverse employees.

That remark wasn’t directed to you at all. Learn your way around forums.

And you took a sarcastic remark seriously. Seriously?

Well from what I understand some people from Amazon left and made the company (wyze) a USA based company. What I mean by just buy a Chinese product I mean look to aqara for window/door sensors, look at other companies that skip the bull crap cloud sub and deliver the features the users want. Just because this company is based in the USA doesn’t make them good at anything they do. Plenty of products out their that are competitive in price and don’t leave the customers hanging with broken products, horrible customer service, and broken promises of features.

No, we know exactly what’s happening and we speak out against racist BS.

Technology moves forward at extremely high speed and there’s always opportunities for improvement. As for the technical features, quality, reliability, and customer service of Wyze, there simply is no other doing near as well and of course they have to keep improving as the competition is fierce. Why beat down the top players in a game instead of constructive criticism and acknowledging epic achievements?!?!?

What acomplishments? Making a sensor that breaks when the battery dies? Promising a camera feature before release only to be a year out and sweeping it under the rug? Their amazing success in delaying the smartwatch for a half year after preorders being placed only to ship it with features missing and problems connecting to Google fit? Or when they sent out an email offering refunds for the watch to then take down the refund request page for a couple weeks so that the refunds would no longer be available?

Are these some of the late great accomplishments of wyze that you talk so greatly about? Just because you had a great experience with them doesn’t mean the thousands of people I see complaining about broken products and planned obsolescence did as well.

Do you need an ELI5 breakdown of why a company doing everything wrong and against the interest of their user base is dumb? Will baby babble help you to get it?

Imagine literally millions of products and millions of customers and only thousands of complaints. While each one is important, it doesn’t mean you have a platform to tear down the validity of a company with millions of satisfied customers. We’re not the only ones that have had a great experience. We’ve deployed over 5,000 Wyze products and only have feature suggestions, no ranting on the internet like some do to pass their lives away.

It seems as though the Community Guidelines may not have been followed recently on this topic.

Imagine saying that wyze has millions of products when they only have a handful. Imagine saying wyze has millions of customers. Where did you get this stuff man?
