OMG! That’s close to the exact Mini PC I already have and installed Proxmox on (except I have half your RAM currently)!!! Mine is:
AMD Ryzen 7 5800H (up to 4.4GHz),
8C/16T
16 GB DDR4 RAM (half the RAM you have, though I could always add more)
1TB NVMe SSD
Currently running Proxmox
I have an unused Coral usb passthrough that I haven’t setup yet, but I bought it with the intention to run Frigate through it. Just wasn’t sure how complicated it would be to set it up to use it, so I haven’t gotten around to it.
I have some other dockers on there right now, but I stopped using it for a while when Docker Wyze Bridge went down earlier this year.
PLEASE @WyzeEric keep us informed!!! You have a system nearly identical to one I have to spare, and I am totally open to buying a new upgrade too. If you stress test this at all, I’d love to hear what it can withstand for you. I have 60+ Cameras. I don’t use them all though, and I probably wouldn’t want to use more than a couple dozen in Home Assistant anyway, but I imagine even 2-3 dozen cameras could be pretty taxing even with a USB Coral connected. I don’t expect you to remember me specifically, but I will definitely be following your statements and seeing if you talk about how many you onboard and how it performs for you.
