I tried all the above procedures - no luck. With the second cam I was lucky. I changed the distance between the camera and the QR code mm by mm and suddenly it scanned, No luck
up to now with the second cam.
I’ll try to transfer the code to my computer and print a larger version of the code. Maybe that
might help.

Well, I convinced the second cam to scan the code. It happened under a very low-light condition. I also took a screenshot of the code on my Android phone and enlarged the code picture a little bit. Then I changed the distance between the camera and the phone in very small steps until the camera was able to scan the code. To me it looks like the image sensor in the cam might be a little less sensitive than when I bought it some time ago.
