Ring Doorbell Pro wiring issue - strange

I had an electrician wire up my Wyze Doorbell Pro… all seemed to work just fine, saw the lightning bolt icon, worked great for several hours. Battery was at about 35% at the time. Later we heard the doorbell chime continuously about 15 times then it stopped and the doorbell was completely dead.

I disconnected it and brought it inside, used the usb cable to charge it. It’s charging just fine and all seems to work.

Any clue why hardwiring it would have caused it to lose battery then chime-out like that?

What does the Ring Doorbell from your title have to do with this?

Did the electrician place a jumper in your mechanical chime box? You can pop off the cover to check without messing up the wiring.

I would walk through the “wired” instructions linked below and double check that all steps were followed
