How do I rename a device?

Via the app. Select the device, Open the settings, (wheel/gear icon, upper right corner), Select Name. Opens to choices you can make. (Don’t forget to save, as you back out.

Welcome.

If you use it with Alexa or Googla Asst, you might have to visit those apps and rename it again to that name too.
