Does Wyze have a referral program anymore?
It was a beta program. We have no public info on how that went. I asked about it in the AMA today, but it was one of the few questions that didn’t get an answer (hardly anyone upvoted it, implying that nobody really cared to get an answer, so other questions got priority).
A lot of people don’t even know about the voting thing or have the time. I wish there was a better way to get Wyze’s attention about things.
Where was that publicly described as a beta program? I was interested and signed up after I received the e-mail announcement about it last year, but then almost immediately the referral link seemed to be broken, even though referral pages were live on the Wyze Web site, and then for a while there was a public-facing message about the program being on hold while they worked out some kinks (IIRC).
I also recall an issue with trying to put the referral link into a browser (to test for myself how it was going to work) and seeing warnings about certificate errors (with whatever service Wyze was using for the redirects), so the whole thing sorta left me thinking that this was another Wyze announcement that fizzled because it hadn’t adequately been tested and wasn’t ready for prime time.
Don’t do referrals for Wyze you’ll be sorry…
