Because of digital photography and networking. There’s always at least a little delay compared to analog video. It helps to have fast local network connections and a fast phone or tablet.
But can I also assume you are really complaining about the startup time and not the lag after the video has already begun streaming? Because that’s more a factor of all the handshaking that has to go on to authenticate you to the Wyze cloud and set up the direct connection between the camera and your phone.
Do you have the same problem on your Apple devices? If so maybe your network? For your Android devices, do you have Hardware Decoding enabled under Account tab > App Settings? If it isn’t, give that a try!
