I have 1 Wyze camera in the front of my house. I was thinking of getting a 2nd to put in the garage to watch the backyard. My Wifi makes it to the rear of the garage, where I would put the camera, but with the service door close does not really make it to the front of the garage.
I was thinking about installing a Wyze sensor on the garage door in the front of the garage with the bridge connected to the camera in the garage. There would be a distance of about 27ft from the sensor to the camera. I was also thinking about installing a sensor on my front door. This means I would need 2 bridges. Will this be a problem?
Having two bridges is not a problem I have 2 myself. But it’s because of the construction of my house and I have too much barriers in between the floors to let the signal pass. I would go with one bridge and see how that works and if it doesn’t work then add the second bridge. That would be my advice because they work actually very very well. I just have double concrete foundation for tornadoes and I have extra thick soundproof, fireproof insulation in the basement ceiling that is rock-based not fiberglass base so that the theater sound does not protrude to upstairs and that really hurt the bridge that was based in the basement. Everything upstairs was still connected to the bridge in the basement but it wasn’t always working correctly. So I would go with one bridge and see how that works And if it doesn’t work correctly then add the second bridge because you can’t buy bridges individually. So I put a bridge upstairs and everything was fine.
