Before we try listing suggestions you’ve already tried, can you list things you’ve already tried and we might be able to make suggestions for things that might have been overlooked?

For example, did you try a factory reset, or manually flashing the firmware to an old version or the newest version? If so, what SD card did you use? Did you try in dim lighting or bright lighting? Did you print off a QR code? Did you change the brightness on your phone? Did you tap the power off on your phone then back on to see if it fixes the overexposure issues some people get? Clear the cache? Temporarily turn off the 5ghz on the router? Did you try temporarily connecting it to your phone’s hotspot instead of the router (this could tell us if the problem is related to the router)?

Also, what do you mean by it doesn’t work? It won’t scan at all, or it fails to connect? Are you getting an error message?

I’m sure we could come up with several suggestions you haven’t tried, but if you’ve tried them all, then there is no sense posting step by step instructions to try something again that you’ve already done, so if we know what exactly you mean by you’ve tried everything or what part is not working we might have some other insights to share that you may not have thought of or known about.

Incidentally, did you contact support about the issue already? And if so, what did they tell you about it?

Make sure the entire QR code is visible. If you changed your phone’s default display settings, especially screen zoom, the code may be partially cut off. Also, if your cam is stationary and you’re moving your phone in and out and around, try putting your phone down and move the cam instead.

Speaking of display settings, sometimes some font also overlaps the bottom of the QR code if you have large font settings or the floating log button can float over the top of it sometimes too :+1:

There are definitely a lot of potential things to look at.

Also, while it seems obvious, sometimes people forget to remove the plastic sticker over the lens when they first get the camera.

Did it start with 3.0 of the app? I had this issue when 3.0 was in Beta. Didn’t think much of it. Just used a device with the old app. Well, that was stupid of me because 3.0 is here and I can’t connect devices. iPhone 14 Pro. I’m going to check and see if one of my tablets has an old version and try again later tonight.

The latest beta app update appears to have resolved this.

Interesting relationship, QR codes and Wyze cams. Moving the phone close to the camera and then backing away slowly often works or the opposite starting away and moving in slowly. Another method that has worked for me is slight side angling of the phone in front of the camera. Simple once you get the hang of it.
