I was disappointed to discover that the “Time Lapse” feature is not longer on the most current version of the app. I installed a camera for this very purpose to create a Time Lapse of a construction project. However after set up I discovered the Time Lapse option no longer appears in the app. Please bring it back asap.

For something like this, it’s vital to include which camera you’re trying to use, because some Wyze Cams do have a time lapse feature but others do not. If you could share that detail, then we can have your topic reclassified and hopefully get your concern better visibility and attention.
It is a Waze Battery Cam Pro. Firmware version 1.4.4.5013. It also has the solar panel add-on. The app is version 3.7.0 (8).
Thank you for adding that information. What you’re experiencing is a camera issue, not an app issue. Note this:

Clearly you’re not alone in wanting and missing the time lapse feature on Battery Cam Pro.
Just so you know, all of the battery cameras are substantially crippled in order to preserve battery life - not all the same way as you discovered.
In my opinion, they are crippled enough to be largely useless. You could not give me any of the Wyze battery operated cameras.
Yeah, Battery Cam Pro (and the Floodlight Pro) never had Time Lapse. I’ve been nagging them about this since they launched. At one time they indicated they were going to add a Time Lapse feature to both models, and just never got around to it despite my constant reminders. Definitely not very happy about that, especially since they are “Pro” models that should be “upgrades” with MORE features in addition to the normal features, not fewer features.
I don’t even own a Battery Cam Pro, but I think this seems like a no-brainer, especially when it’s coupled with the Solar Panel. My understanding is that Battery Cam Pro preserves battery life by not having the camera itself always active (using PIR and radar instead) but can begin recording video if heat or motion triggers one of those other sensors. If the camera can turn on quickly to begin recording an event video, and if the device is still operating (still reachable via Wi-Fi, able to “wake up” to capture an event), then it seems like it should be able to wake up at intervals on a schedule to add a snapshot to a time lapse recording.
Its not an option or feature on the new PanCam v4 also… I am so upset that it isn’t there.. I used this as my main Timelapse camera and it isn’t available.. but is on all my other v3 - v4 cam - just not the new Pan Cam v4
