Pool constantly triggering motion detection

I’ve turned sensitivity down to 1 on the V3 cameras and still can’t prevent motion detection from very tiny rippling in the pool water. The DSP needs work I guess. I was hoping I could dial this in so the only motion detection would be an event caused by something entering/falling in the pool.

The cameras use pixel changes to detect motion. The ripples are enough to trigger an alert and I don’t think you will find any way to prevent that. It’s one of the problems with using the cameras to detect motion. You could always use CamPlus and only record/trigger with a person or pet.

In this use case it might be better to use a PIR based detection system. Weither it be the WCO or say a Sense motion detector to detect activity. But youd also have to before hand understand the nuances and features and functions that come with each, and the WCO is its own animal.
