That’s what happens when Gib stunk up on ya. Maybe Wyze ain’t about chasin’ the stunk.
Along came a who stunk up beside her…
4 gals 1 cam and a spider. My favorite clips ever!
Why does Wyze tolerate network deadbeats: those who haven’t contributed anything to the company bottom line by buying new gear or subscriptions since initial purchase of v1 v2 or v3 cam(s) (with Cam-Plus-Lite-Paying-Zero?)
They would appear to be of negative value.
Why keep them hooked up?
Describing yourself old man?
Mmmmmmmmmmmmaybe.
Haha. They don’t know about me. My wife gets mail from AARP but not me. Whatever database they suck the names from doesn’t have my name on it. I am a registered voter with a valid driver’s license,
Maybe you were expunged. Are you a self-hating senior?
They’re afraid of your critter army.
They aren’t negative value.
- Ecosystem Growth: A larger user base can attract more developers and potentially third-party integrations, and desirability and passive advertising and brand recognition, etc, enhancing the overall ecosystem.
- Data Collection: Even less active users contribute valuable [internal] data that can be used to improve services and develop new features, know what people like or prefer or use.
- Brand Loyalty: Keeping users within the ecosystem increases the chances of them eventually purchasing new products or services.
- Network Effects: A larger network of users can make the platform more attractive to new customers, creating a positive feedback loop.
While it does cost money to maintain cloud services for these users, the potential long-term benefits often outweigh these costs.
Besides, the opposite would have devastating ramifications on their consumer reputation. Imagine if they kicked you off their platform to save the bandwidth from authentication costs? The outage that would ensure would devastate any company.
Get off of my Lawn/Network
Deadbeat army! Essential to the health of the network!
Deadbeat-converted-to-subscriber is a metric attesting to the ‘compellingness’ of the product lineup, pricing and sales approach!
Turning a single network deadbeat is statistically equivalent to landing TEN consumer newbie naifs!
We are a… vital indicator!
Wyze’s lawn has cams and sensors skewering all from every angle - they are the curiously indulgent neighbor chuckling softly at deadbeat antics!
Disclaimer (of sorts)
I do trust Wyze as a custodian of my ‘precious digital fluids’ (as much as I trust any corporation.)
Time will tell if my trust is misplaced but things look good so far (~six years in.)
Whatever you say, General Ripper. Enjoy your rainwater and pure grain alcohol.
You don’t miss a trick, mavenoid.
People-who-think-they’re-so-smart say Americans can’t understand anything without a movie reference.
Reminds me of that film…
I’m sure I miss a lot of things, but there’s definitely a lot of (semi-)useless lodged in the ol’ .
