I have several v3 cameras that insist on giving me a tutorial on the user interface. I can view the cameras, but unable to enter settings or other things because this tutorial is in the way. Swiping left or right will change the tutorial from ‘pinch to zoom’ or three other things. Apparently no option to make it go away. I thought to delete and reinstall them, but unable to do that since everything beneath the tutorial is greyed out. Has anyone seen this? Options?
If this is a new phenomenon, then I wonder if it’s related to whatever particular app version you’re using. (You’re self-designating as a Beta group member here in the Forum, but I didn’t see an indication of which app you’re using.) Since I’ve occasionally seen some element display glitches that appear to be related to a particular app version or even a particular device (e.g., something that’s expected to appear on the screen is hidden by another on-screen element or doesn’t display as expected because of a particular screen geometry), this is what I’d do:
- Determine what app version you’re using.
- Find the relevant Wyze News or Beta topic here in the Forum for that particular app version.
- Submit a log from the app.
- Post to the Wyze News or Beta topic that you found with details about your experience, including your phone model, Android version, Wyze app version, and Log ID.
- Consider also opening a ticket with Wyze Support.
Additionally, I’d probably poke around in your Android settings to see if changing something like Display or Magnification settings would allow you to see the Skip option for the tutorial so that you can dismiss it.
Thank you for the tips. I’ll try some of these and get back to you. I have realized that it seems to only occur on my Pixel tablet, android. The phones do not seem to do this. Next plan is to compare versions.
