Pepe' Le Pew & Friends

Oh, I love using those to clean a house out of bad smells. Makes the whole place smell like bleach and clean smells. Kind of also smells a bit like a swimming pool. Just keep all the animals away for a while. Need to hit the whole house hard with them with nothing living inside for a few hours for it to really do anything.

Over 25 years ago, I first saw the Alpine ones. They were expensive. I knew someone who had one and also had about 5 dogs living in her home and she smoked, but you couldn’t tell. Later on I ended up owning 4 of them and loaned them to family at times. Loved how it smelled so fresh all the time. They’d say it was like after a thunderstorm and they were right. They’re also great in removing burn smells. They use them inside buildings after a fire too.

And getting persnickety.

My dog still smells like your :skunk: The house is getting better. The air purifier has a fire filter and is on turbo. Air fresheners in every room.
Now when we come home after breathing non-skunk air, we barely smell it. Having company in a month so it should be totally gone by then. My dog has a regular grooming appointment in 2 weeks so hopefully they can do something with her.
She doesn’t go anywhere near that area now. I haven’t seen Pepe’ since the face to butt confrontation.
Wife read that you should not bring your pet inside after being sprayed, and to give it a bath using Dawn dish soap. That wasn’t possible. It was about 25F then, the garden hoses have been stored in the basement.

Since you are being so kind I sent Mr. Smelly a work order to go to your house and entertain your company when they arrive.

vinegar stuff sounds right direction. but wrong application. Quick Easy Facts: If you smell something, then molecules of the chemical are evaporating and getting into your nose. If the smell lingers, then molecules are stuck to something and need to be removed or neutralized. APPLICATION: Skunk Scent is neutralized by acids; vinegar and lemon juice are the oldest and simplest; BUT, you have to contact the acid with the scent molecule. That means spraying/washing. Put the vinegar concoction in a plant mister and spray all soft, surfaces–woods, fabrics, etc. Natural ions in the air then reduce the vinegar/lemon scents. This is how Febreeze and Lysol air sanitizers work–chemicals in the product neutralize the smelly stuff then evaporate away on their own.

No nuts in the water bowl  I have a box full of acorns so I guess I should put some next to the bowl.

The acorns will get redistributed first and then consumed at a later date. Unless they become oak trees first.

You should put just a dot of peanut butter on the cam.

I put three acorns out for the stupid squirrel but he took an apple instead. Maybe it was making apple pie for Thanksgiving? :astonished:

Punkin was walking around like an AT-AT last night after I gave her a full body massage (which she likes). She did that the first time I bathed her after the skunk attack. The only thing the vet found then was a heart murmur and a little fever. She was fine for a few days, then my wife told me to give her a bath again. Immediately after the bath, she had no energy. However you picked her up snd laid her down, she would stay like that. Same vet approved shampoo each time. The next day she was fine. Yesterday I gave her a full body massage and back to the Imperial Walker. Took her to the vet today. X-ray showed nothing. By the time we left she was much better.

$$$ later, and we have 3 meds. An offsite licensed radiologist will look at the X-rays today or tomorrow.

This is way off topic, but some users showed concern. I thank you.

Here is my Punkin

Strange reactions but glad she’s ok. Maybe the bath really relaxed her.

She’s a cutie! I hope you get some answers, and it’s nothing too serious.

The squirrel lost one of it’s acorns to a mean old bird. I think the squirrel is either a weight lifter or a pie maker.
