Own PanCam v3…is there a setting for color live and not live pictures at night? Thank you
How do I get to Starlight option? I do not see it in settings! Thanks
There is no separate setting with that label. From your Cam Pan v3’s Live Stream screen, if you tap Settings ➜ Advanced Settings ➜ Night Vision Mode ➜ Off, then your camera should be using “color night vision” with the starlight sensor engaged. In other words, with that setting the camera won’t try to go into the regular “night vision” mode that uses IR to produce black and white images.
See this in the FAQ from Cam Pan v3’s product page:
How do I turn on Color Night Viewing?
Wyze Cam Pan v3 is equipped with a starlight sensor that allows the camera to see color in extremely low light conditions, allowing you to see full color at night. To use it, turn off Night Vision in low light conditions.
Note that this mode requires some ambient light to work. I have good results with my Cam Pan v3s in a room where I have a couple of regular plug-in night lights that are on overnight.
Starlight is the type of sensor used so the sensor in the camera will help. In all low light situations. It’s like having a hemi engine in a vehicle, you’re still going to have the hemi running whether you’re going 10 mph or 100 mph. The starlight sensor will help in all situations, especially low light.
I think it should actually be called color at night, rather than color night vision. One would get it easily confused with The actual night vision mode… To have color at night. You need to have the night vision mode turned off.
