Pan v3 error due to firmware

My camera still wont detect sd card after the firmware update from 2ish months ago. I spoke to costumer service asking them to either fix it or replace it. They refused to replace it cause it’s past 1 year warranty. I then requested to speak to speak to a supervisor cause it’s not fair they released a firmware that caused this issue. She said to keep checking on the website for updates on “IF there’s resolution”. I have the call saved to my phone. I asked her to confirm what she just said more than once and she refused. So basically this might not be resolved and they literally just broke our cameras and are refusing to replace them. I understand that not all v3 cams are infected. I just don’t think this is fair or even professional

What other troubleshooting have you tried - a different SD card etc? There are a lot of things going on that can potentially affect SD cards. In the case of the firmware release that intended to fix SD issues, it seems a group of people started having trouble after that and I suspect the cams are now just better detecting SD cards that have problems (bad spots, etc). That’s just a hunch but I’d try a different card, and format it in a PC using the utility from sdcard.org. Then see if the cam recognizes it and works.

I’ve done everything. Different card. Testing the cards in a different device, resetting/restarting the camera. It’s most definitely rhe device caused by the firmware. Tech support already confirmed this is what’s happening to my camera

Ignore whatever support told you, they have less idea what is going on than the people here.

But if you’ve tried everything already (hopefully more than what you listed), guess not much point in making additional suggestions.

@dave27 I have 3 pan v3’s that have the sdcard issues and I have followed the various postings regarding same for well over a year, including supposed fixes that did not resolve it. Why is there such a reluctance for an admission that there is a problem with a large segment of these cams that Wyze has failed to come up with a permanent solution for that is viable.

Wyze continues to move forward with new products but be damned to us and providing the resources fixing this problem. My solution was to no longer buy Wyze and will be content with the cams I currently own.

The sd card issue actually a more recent thing. What cams so you currently own now. Thinking about changing

If you’ve followed the threads you’ll see I’ve stated multiple times (including in this one) that a portion of the SD card problems in the PanV3 does appear to be related to hardware or firmware. In this particular thread, it was clear OP was just venting and didn’t want to troubleshoot, so no sense in continuing it.
