Pan Cam V3 touch sensitive

We have multiple Wyze pan cam V3 cameras for outdoor use. What gets annoying is whenever you are zooming in on the screen to see something, it moves the camera.

In my opinion they should either not let the camera move when swiping on the live feed, or make a “lock camera” toggle button so you can adjust and set the camera.

This would also not make you afraid to open the camera if you have a Timelapse going.

How do I get Wyze to see this?

I pretty much exclusively use the swipe to pan the camera, I find the arrow buttons a pain. I’ve never had it move when zooming on the picture, maybe a setting on your phone that needs to be adjusted to be less sensitive? I’ve also seen screen certain screen protectors mess with touch sensitivity too.

If you want to make it an “official” request, post it in the wishlist forum.

Thanks bro. That’s why I think a “lock controls” button would be nice. Like a child lock. But maybe it’s just me.

Yea, I think it’s just you. Never had that issue. Maybe the phone is not detecting that you have two fingers on screen…

Yeah it’s like I’ll zoom in on the live feed and the cameras will move. I’ll look into my phone more. Thanks.

How are you zooming? If you’re using a “spread” gesture on the live view pane, then what if you did a double-tap instead? You can also grab the bar below the pane and drag that down to essentially do the same thing. This is a fixed zoom so that the height of the image snaps to the height of your phone screen and you can pan the view (not the camera itself) left and right while zoomed in this way without actually changing the camera’s position, but this is only for portrait mode.

Landscape view works differently, and playing with this just now I see what you mean about how using “pinch” and “spread” gestures can inadvertently trigger one of the green bars at the image edge and cause the camera to move. That really is a little annoying. Being extra careful with the gestures might help, but I was able to trigger camera movement when I didn’t intend to despite that. I could see the case for a toggle, maybe something like  Settings ➜ Advanced Settings ➜ Motor Controls ➜ Enable Swipe-to-Pan/Tilt .
