After installing the camera outside, according to Wyze directions, the video feed is upside down. How can I correct this? Do I need to attach it somewhere as if it was on a table top? My preference is on a wall.
I don’t see the Cam Pan v3 anywhere in the photo you posted, but if you mounted it with the base on top (as illustrated in Wyze Cam Pan v3 Mounting Guide), then you’ll probably want to select the Cam’s Settings ➜ Advanced Settings ➜ Rotate Image 180° and enable that toggle. In addition, you may want to be aware of at least a couple of things if you’re mounting this outdoors:
- Some users have reported issues with water ingress (from rain, snow, etc.) when mounting these upside-down (base on top) outdoors without adequate cover. You may want to make sure your installation adequately shields the base from precipitation, and you can find ideas for that by searching the Forum.
- I saw your other post about the outdoor power adapter. My understanding is that the standard Wyze power adapters are rated for indoor use only, though some community members have reported using those outdoors in an appropriately-covered outlet (weather-resistant box enclosing a GFCI with space for the adapter) or third-party USB adapters housed in such a box. You mentioned that the standard Cam Pan v3 cable was too short. In addition to being rated for outdoor use, the Outdoor Power Adapter gives you additional cable length over the standard cable included with the Cam.
