Mif the outdoor is to be powered by a battery pack, I’d suggest options to buy backup batteryfor charging main, as always, start using type-c. If the battery pack can be charged at 45 w like my note 10+ that’s help a lot. So would disguised cameras - like rocks birdhouses, light bulbs

They are in testing and they haven’t given any indication of when they will be released.
One thing I wish wise would really do that I’ve heard a couple people talk about is allowing for active video streaming when you first open the app of the video cameras especially multiple cameras at once even if it’s just something for a tablet or the computer if they can’t get it to work on the phone would be super awesome especially if you like leave a dedicated tablet or dedicated smart home devices open to the camera it would be super awesome to be able to have the ability to see multiple multiple

Cheap old chromecast, connected to an old monitor.
Connect wyze to home assistant on your phone, (don’t need to purchase an actual home assistant, or google home. Just need the app on the phone)
Open app, and voice command “Ok google, show (camera name) on (chromecast name)”
Then, just let it run.

Not to worry about the cold. I have three of them in Soldotna, Alaska and they have worked flawlessly even when the temp dropped to -24 F for several weeks in February. It is currently 22 F there now and I’m viewing my cameras as we speak.
One suggestion though, I use WiFi smart power plugs so I can power them off when/if I need to have the power recycled in order to reset them.

I for one am stoked that it is a battery camera. This will give me much more flexibility in mounting the camera in the optimal location. I’m just wanting more news on the release. Scale and Band were just announced, and I’m still salivating for the outdoor camera… Any news?

I agree. I love the option of the battery. Not only does it give me flexibility in mounting them initially if something comes up and I want to move them to focus on a certain area The battery gives me the flexibility put them anywhere. And the move him countless times. Big selling point for me
They said on the live stream today that it will be the next item released, and the doorbell and Thermostat are coming along too.
But he also said the keypad would be available in April. So did he miss speak or will the WCO be available in early April? I believe he misspoke and the keypad will be the actual first item after this release and then the WCO. But I don’t really care what order they come out and I would like them both
But I like my Glas thermostat -_-
At least wyze and glas work with home assistant well.

The keypad may be considered more of a line extension than a new product, since it will only work with the lock?

I have been trying to go back and look at what has been said previously on this tread. So far we know that Wyze is working on an Outdoor Camera that uses PIR for motion detection. The camera(s) will connect to a base station. The camera(s) are battery powered but have the option to be plugged in. Is there anything I missed?

They are only available in purple. Just kidding. This is all I know which is basically your list maybe something at it I’m not I didn’t go over it with a fine tooth comb

Cool thanks! Hopefully Wyze will make an update to support more cameras on one hub. I’m planning on getting 12 cameras and don’t really want 3 hubs.

Do some reading of the posts above and you’ll get all the information we have. other Than they said that the wyze cam outdoor would be the next product released during Yesterdays AMA but they didn’t give any date.
