That sounds like a real pain, and I haven’t seen the exact message from the screenshot in your initial post, but I agree that it appears to be thrown together and lack professionalism (especially “tolet” ; where are the designers and copywriters in this process?). I think I have seen the other message you described.
I wouldn’t mind them so much if Wyze’s time-based functions actually worked. My most recent Support ticket, which was specifically about Vacation Mode for lighting and plug products, was closed without resolution. (Vacation Mode has never worked as advertised for me.) Wyze provides a place for users to store their location, but they don’t seem to use it for time-(zone)-based functions (which seems like a good reason for a user to volunteer that information). Maybe that facility is used only by Home Monitoring? I really don’t know. It just seems broken to me, and I’ve discussed this recently in a couple of other topics[1][2].
