I love my wyze cams and I was looking at getting the wyze home security with the door sensors and stuff but I was really disappointed to see that there isn’t an outdoor weatherproof motion sensor. Is there a way to see if there’s enough interest in this to request wyze to make one? I think it would be great if that was an option cus other wyze Instead of getting the whole home system I was just gonna get a different brand outdoor sensor. Which I really don’t want to do because I would like to have it all in one app etc.
No offense, but how long do you figure the development cycle from today until you could buy it would be?
I mean they already have an indoor one they’d just have to make a weathrpoof housing for it and extend the range a lttle bit. A few months to a year tops id assume
YoLink has one.
yes, they do and its excellent. And no development cycle.
Let add this so its clear. The range of these sensors outdoor, indoor, motion sensors, contact sensors is 1,000 feet to 1/4 mile. Batteries last 2-3 years. I have one in my mailbox 165 feet from my garage and its flawless.
I have multiple YoLink products: outdoor motion, indoor motion, contact sensors, water/leak sensors, temperature/humidity sensors, outlets and light switches, power outages sensors, power strips, sirens/alarms, speaker (voice) hubs…
All work extremely well. I have some in my barn/shop which is about 250ft from my house that all work flawlessly. Automations/rules have multiple triggers and conditions. I’ve basically moved away from Wyze products except for cameras and bulbs, and bulbs are only because the ones I have a fairly new.
