Hello. If the camera is inside the outdoor case will this affect the image quality? Can I incase an indoor Wyze camera to use it outdoors? Thank you.
Depends if what aftermarket case you use. Do you have a link or picture so we can see what you want to use? Welcome to the forums! Does it cover the lense? What color is it? Does it have a hood .over the lens? To many questions yet to give you a good answer. Have you searched for other outdoor enclosure threads to see what others have experienced? There is a wealth of knowledge within the forums here already.
Also remember, the v1, V2 and the pancam are technically indoor cameras. Although many many have has success with the cams outdoors, doing that is at your own risk.

The piece that sticks out on the top and each side can cause a foggy type of reflection from the Night Vision IR Lights. I turn the IR lights off on my outdoor cameras anyway because the attract bugs and aren’t very effective.

To add to what @angus.black said above, If you have your heart set on that one you could black out the underside of the hood and on the inside of the circle where the “eye” of the camera is to minimize IR blowback. It won’t eliminate, but it will reduce. See example photo of other mounts (left is preferred):

Yes, I forgot to mention that. I’ve done that to mine and it does help.
It would also be fairly easy to cut it off for what little prrotective value it has.

I have had one of my V2 cameras outside for almost two years in one of the Amazon house covers. The camera is sitting on top of an electrical box near the bottom of the right side brick column (just left of the flagpole). If you look carefully, there is a white dot about a quarter of the way of the column on the side facing the tree ring in the middle of the photo. That’s the camera.
