Outdoor camera is worthless

Hmm, interesting.

I pulled in last night with a hot engine and an outdoor temp of 30 degrees and it did not trigger until I got out of the car. It is 41 degrees now and I am fairly certain the UPS truck was running hot

I just received a motion event notice from a neighbor pulling out of his driveway with a car that was just started while missing other cars driving past the house. It is just so RANDOM!

As for the money, I have 3 nest cams and gladly pay 5 bucks a month each for 5 days of storage. I do not mind the 1.25 a month for the Wyze cam, but it seems their software is very far behind their hardware right now. What a shame. I would gladly recharge this camera every 2 weeks to be able to position them whereever I want without cords, but if it doesnโ€™t capture motion then it is truly useless. I have another 70 days before I have to return the camera so I will keep playing with it, but I am not getting my hopes up.

Thanks for all the replies and help.

It looks longer than 40 feet to the street but I will take your word. I just went out with a tape and measured the distance from the camera on the East side of my house as shown in one of my post above to the right side of the street where you can see the garbage truck and the SUV. It is 77 feet 3 inches. I walked back in view of my front cam and it tagged me at 37 feet. Prior, I had my front camera facing up the entire street and got tired of all the notifications so I moved the cam . Everyone has a different experience with the cams. My only complaint is that the app sucks the battery down on my iPhone down about once every 20 days now at night time when there are no events, all background use. Good luck with whatever you choose, I am happy with my purchase except that damn app. :astonished:

Wyze said donโ€™t burn the pork steak. This is from my non-Cam Plus Cam. IR lights off at a distance of 45 feet. :pig: :yum:
