Outdoor cam with WiFi extender

My outdoor camera can’t reach the WiFi.
I have a base station sitting next to the router in my house connected by Ethernet. It broadcasts an SSID (let’s call it MyNetwork).
The outdoor camera can’t see MyNetwork as it’s too far away.
I have a WiFi extender which is configured as a repeater to extend the WiFi signal. It broadcasts a different SSID (let’s call it MyNetwork-EXT).

I do not know how to tell the outdoor cam to please connect to MyNetwork-EXT.

I know the extender works in that my phone can connect to it and access the internet when I’m outside in the same area as the camera.

But how do I get the camera to connect?

By the way, I happen to have another base station which I’m not currently using. Would this help? Or just make things more complicated?

Your camera will not connect to your wifi extender or even with your router wifi signal it will only connect to the base wifi signal.
If you want to use your other base at a different closer location you would have to first delete the camera from the app while it is online and connected to the current base. Then you could set up your second base at the location you desire and then set your camera up as new again to the second base.

DO NOT DELETE A CAM IF IT IS NOT ONLINE .

Hi There,
I just added several wired access points to my network for the same reason. Now it seems to be working fine. Just a suggestion.
Good Luck
