Outdoor cam range

Have a four year old Outdoor Cam.

I just brought in yesterday to recharge the battery. On putting it back after the charging, it’s unable to connect to the base station from where I normally have it. To be clear, this is a range issue, not an issue involving connecting to the base station. The camera works closer to the base station than where I regularly have it positioned.

I should note that I don’t recall when I last got a notice of motion from the camera.

So the question is: Is this a hardware issue or is there a fix other than replacing the camera?

I have four WCO v1 cams that will be five years old in November. They all recorded videos last night but I could not connect to them this morning to see live view. The base was showing solid blue LED? I got tired of trying to connect so I just power cycled the base station via smart plug, waited 4 min. and all the cams were working as normal when I checked. My furthest WCO is 40 feet from the base through 4 walls and the house electrical panel.
