12/01/23 10:15 PM PT - We have identified the root cause of the issues with a Wyze partner service and they are currently working on a fix. We will keep you posted as we progress.
thanks god I was going Crazy I’ve spent the last few hours resetting everything… then I’ve seen this post… 11:50 Pan cam v3 is up and running, pan cam v2 is still blinking blue… after several several several resetting… hopefully it will be resolved… I need the camera to be working…! Why not sending notification through the app when there are this kind of issues, so people don’t go crazy… thank yoy
Already tried, did nothing.
Agree. This outage is major. Any cam, except OG, will become offline after reboot, e.g. after update. Wyze should add a pop up to notify users of this outage asap. I reset my routers and cams until I searched for “offline” in the forum and saw many had the same issue. Then I know it is Wyze service issue.
Bet it will be fixed soon.
Everything seems back to normal now
Not completely normal…
You may want to reset any detection zones you have set up. Mine still had the toggle showing as enabled after the cams started working again, but were suddenly detecting events within the blocked out areas. After toggling the zone off and on for each one, they seem to be working again. I’ll update later if this is not the case.
Not back to normal here. Events are recording but live view isn’t available on some.
Try resetting the app cache.
Are you on Android or iPhone? If Android, you can can force-stop the app and clear cache there too. Not sure how to do that on iPhone.
One of our cameras said it was offline, but it was working. Tried to restart it, turn it off, etc but it wouldn’t do anything. So, we just left it alone since it only claimed to be offline but we could view the live footage and see that it was working. By the next morning it showed that it was online. It did that with one of the other cameras a while back and the thing showed back online by the next day, also. I don’t know what makes it do that but I guess we were lucky that on both occasions they only claimed to be offline but were actually working. Was everyone else’s really offline or did it just say that while actually working like ours? Just curious.
Mine did something a little different. I could not access the live view at all. But if I went outside and walked in front of the cameras, they would all detect me and an event would appear in the Events tab. I was still getting notifications and I could watch the videos.
Wyze fixed it all by the next morning. I did have to toggle my detection zones on and off to get them to start working though.
It turns out there was an issue with Amazon Web Services (AWS) connectivity.
All good now.
Same here. I had 6 of mine go offline and tried everything to fix it. had to re-install 2 of them. Wyze should notify people when they are having issues so that we know not to spend hours trying to figure out what’s wrong late at night or anytime for that matter.
