I already created accounts here and can log into the web account. I just received the odd email from Wyze support about a new account created asking me to click to set a password.
The URL is legit, but I don’t need another account nor did I set this one up. I did order my first camera today, that’s it. Is this normal procedures for Wyze?
Being a holiday period, I don’t know their work hours or when they would be able to get back to you, but I do know they are pretty snappy with their responses. When you hear back if you feel comfortable, we’d like to hear back on the resolution to help the thread here go full circle for folks that find it in the future. Thanks in advance!
I’ve had a reply already and did respond with questions. Here is securities reply down below. I told them I just setup an account two days or so ago and why would I have to do it again just because I ordered a camera under a different email address which I use for Amazon than here in my current account? I’ll follow-up with the response.

I almost did, but thought it was silly. My Amazon account is a different email than here. I just asked if that’s gonna happen everytime. I thought the camera would be registered to my account and the Wyze cam app when I set it up.

You should be able to delete the account by following the steps.
You can log into your Wyze app with your Amazon email.
Tap the Account tab at the bottom of the screen.
Select Account > Delete account.

The camera gets set up to your wyze account when you get the camera, power it up and run through the “Add a device” setup procedure.
Since your using two separate emails for Wyze things, if you go down the path and gets subscriptions, make sure you purchase through the website with your WYZE account email. Say if you purchase a CAM PLUS license with your amazon email, then it wont work with your wyze account email… youd have to cancel the sub and repurchase with the wyze email, fyi.
I’m gonna ignore the email then unless they reply again and ask me to delete it.
The failure was when I purchased at wyze.com, I hadn’t logged in, It never occurred to me that it would create this issue, since I was hyperlinking out with the prime link. I’ll log in next time.
