Notifications have stopped

For the last week or so I have not been receiving notifications from my cameras. It may coincide with upgrading to the new app but not sure. They are turned on in settings and push notifications are turned on in account settings. Any suggestions?

Is it possible that you bumped the bell icon in the upper-right corner of the app?

What happens if you go into a camera’s settings and hit the Reset Services button (and/or Restart Camera)?

I think you’ve already checked some reasonable things, and I’d probably approach it this way:

  1. Pick a camera to test and navigate into the :gear: Settings for that camera.
  2. Ensure that Notifications for that camera are enabled and that the Events you want notifications for are selected on the Customize Detections screen.
  3. Back out to the main Settings screen and hit the Reset button beside Reset Services.
  4. Navigate to Account ➜ Notifications ➜ Push Notifications ➜ Enable ➜ [enabled for your test camera & any other cameras you want enabled]
  5. Find the Wyze app icon on your phone’s home screen or list of apps (wherever you typically tap to launch it) and long-press, then tap App info in the box that pops up.
  6. On the App info screen, tap Notifications.
  7. On this next Settings screen, ensure that Show notifications is enabled and also that WyzeMessage is enabled. (Note that the verbiage here may differ depending on your particular Android version/variant.)
  8. Reboot the phone.
  9. After the phone has been fully rebooted (you’ve unlocked it at least once so that the full boot and initial load cycle complete), go move in front of a camera to try to trigger a motion event (or whatever kind of events you selected for notifications in step 2).

If that doesn’t do it, then I’d probably try going through the same process but substitute a Restart in place of Reset Services for step 3.

I don’t know if this will resolve your issue, but it’d be my initial approach of settings to check and things to try.

Thanks for the detailed response. As I was about to start your suggestions, I received a notification from one of my cameras. Now all are working… ?
After a week or more of no notifications they are working! All I had to do was post it in this forum. I think AI read my post and fixed it. Anyway, I am saving your procedure for future issues. Thanks!

You’re welcome! You asked for suggestions, so I suggested. :grin:

Based on what I’ve been reading in other topics and experiencing myself, I think Wyze has been doing a lot of server-side changes along with the new app updates, so I imagine a lot of what’s being reported are glitches related to those changes.

In any case, I’m glad things are working better for you…at least for now!
