Notifaction when home/away/disarmed status changes

I looked around the app settings but can’t find anything. Is there a way to get a notification when someone with shared access changes the disarmed/home/away status? I get a notification when it’s changed using the keypad but not when someone arms or disarms it using the wyze app.

Currently, there is no notification sent nor any setting to enable one when the HMS Mode is changed via the App.

However, since there are HMS Mode Triggers available in Rules, I have devised a workaround for this. It requires 3 cams that are subscribed to Cam Plus.

I have 3 Wyze Rules set:

  1. When set to Disarmed, upload short video on Cam A.
  2. When set to Away, upload a short video on Cam B.
  3. When set to Home, upload a short video on Cam C

Since each cam is enrolled to Cam Plus with notifications enabled, it will upload a 12s Automation Event Video from that cam and send a notification to your phone of “Smart Alert Detected on Cam A” (B or C).

Since I run Android, I then set MacroDroid macros to watch all incoming notifications. (MacroDroid is not available for iOS). It sees the notification, plays a custom notification tone, verbally tells me “HMS Set to Away” (Home\Disarmed) and then sends a Webhook Smart Button Press to Alexa. An Alexa Routine then announces the same on all devices, including my phone.

If you are interested, there is a Wishlist request that asks Wyze for Push Notifications when the Mode is changed from the App.
