Not requesting, It NEEDS to be implemented.

Wyze!

The Battery Cam Pro has been riddles with firmware issues and connectivity issues. Each time I open a ticket (several times this year with no solution) the first request your support representatives ask is for the end user to get out the ladder, climb up and factory reset the camera.

Why is there NOT an option to factory reset the camera from the app? Or maybe when the camera is deleted from the user account it should auto factory reset.

Also, why can’t we switch Wi-Fi networks from within the app similar to how Reolink does? It needs to be factory reset again!

Why does every action require taking out the ladder, climbing 8 ft to the eve, removing the camera, factory resetting it? It’s dangerous for the handicapped, young and elderly people.

Please have the PM answer the post, because it’s asinine request of end users. PM did a terrible job a managing this product and hopefully they don’t manage future battery cameras releases.

Seapup.

Did you read my post….please give me an honest response.

The article you linked to, indicates my point exactly.

Please search the Wishlist category. All of your requests currently exist. You may add to each. I can’t do it for you. I can only move your entire post, not split up. Also, this is a user-to-user community. Wyze seldom chimes in here.

Do you expect this approach to get you anywhere?

All my cams factory reset and go to “ready to connect” when deleted from the app. I don’t have a battery cam so I can’t confirm if it does or not, but one of your requests may already exist.

All my cams are mounted outside of windows or in places I can get to them easily, one has to expect that some interaction with a battery powered wireless cam will be needed from time to time.

Please define approach.

As to your second statement, why waste your time providing an answer if you don’t have the knowledge or experience with the Battery Cam Pro? Ready to connect is not a factory reset according to Wyze….

Stomping your feet and demanding to speak to the manager.

Because even though I don’t have that particular cam, I have several other models, and all of them factory reset and go into “ready to connect” when deleted from the app. May or may not be relevant, if you don’t find it useful, ignore it.

Which is why I said “factory reset and go to “ready to connect”

I don’t know which “All my cam” you have, but I DO own the Wyze CAM V3 Pro and it does NOT factory reset when removing the device from my account NOR does it state ready to connect. Please don’t comment on posts to which you have no understanding of nor follow Wyze recommended procedure. The false information causes end user confusion and extra support tickets to Wyze support from those confused end users asking why their camera’s did not reset. Take some time to read Wyze support articles.

Hi Ruben,

Thanks for reaching out to the Wyze Wizards team! This is Ri********** one of the supervisors here at Wyze again. As what we’ve discussed, please performed a factory reset on the device to see if this fix the issue.

To factory reset Wyze Battery Cam Pro:

1. Remove any microSD card inserted into the camera.

2. With the camera powered on, press and hold the setup button on the bottom of the camera for 10 seconds until the status light turns solid yellow.

· To access the setup button, you will need to open the camera’s battery compartment.

3. Once the status light starts flashing yellow and blue, set up the camera like new by following along in the app or check out our Wyze Battery Cam Pro Setup Guide.

I hope this helps! If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach back out by replying directly to this email and we’d be happy to assist you further.

Thanks for being a part of Wyze!
