Hey guys. I bought 3 SD cardsfor my Battery pro cams. The camera is not recording video to them. I got the SD cards to avoid paying a monthly subscription. Am I missing something ?
Welcome to the forum.
Battery Cam pros are a bit different than USB powered cams.
The first thing I would check is are the SD cards set to Settings > Advanced > Events Only (default). If so then what are your Settings > Event Recording set to? This determines the trigger for recording to the SD card.
If you set the SD card to “Continuous” you should be able to see SD playback but this setting will drain the battery within 8 hours (FYI, a solar panel will not help, it cannot recharge fast enough).
I am having a similar issue. I’ve been with Wyze for a few years and I have a subscription and use SD cards. Make sure the card is 32GB.
For a few weeks now I’ve been experiencing my normal continuous recording selection is, well, not continuously recording on my Pan v3 and OG indoor/outdoor. When I view the SD card, only the event has recorded. After confirming several times I have continuous recording selected, only the event showes on the card.
I first thought the card had become corrupt. So I changed the card. The issue has continued. Now my Pan v2 is only recording events.
When I play the SD card on another SD card reader, the continuous recording video and sound are present on the card and I am able to play it it. The video will not show or play back in the Wyze SD card playback option. With all firmware and the app being up-to-date, three out of seven cameras are having this issue. I think it’s an Wyze app issue.
That sounds like some sort of glitch with the app. There are a few ways of clearing out the cache etc with it, but often the easiest is to just uninstall and reinstall it. I haven’t seen anything like that and I have the latest version of the app on android.
I am not getting video is what I should have said. There are still photographs but no video. Are the SD cards only for photos ?
Let’s see if I can clarify.
If you have an SD card when you configure it you are given 2 choices. Events only or Continuous.
If you have selected Events only and you click on SD Card you should see the following:
There is only one event shown on this screen. If you click on the event icon it should play the clip that caused the event.
If you configured Continuous then when you click on SD Card you shoud see the following screen:
The vertical green line is your SD Card recording everything. As before if you click on the event icon you will be taken to the event.
Hope this helps
