I have several wyze cams. Varied versions. All updated. All record motion but I am not getting notifications and no video is uploaded. When I go to events recordings are listed but when I select one the video does not load and I am told to check my signal strength. The signal indicator on the camera shows 100%. I can select the sd card icon and it takes me to the event video.
I use an Elsys Amplimax cell service router connected to a tp link ax1800 router via cat 6 cable. The camera is connected to the ax1800. I have 80% cell signal. 13.7 mbps download and 3.7mbps upload test results.
Can anybody help?
I don’t know if this related but I just spent two hours analyzing why my new Doorbell Duo Cam wasn’t doing motion detections or AI tags properly. Testing was revealing inconsistent AI tagging & notifications types (e.g. just “motion” vs “person”) and occasionally odd triplicated event uploads that would then say they couldn’t be viewed due to a cloud error.
I was about to post about my outcomes when it suddenly (in the past 10 mins) appeared to be working normally. Are your issues still occurring?
Yes, it is still occurring. Also, I cannot view any of the cameras at that location on the Mywyze page. I can see cameras from a second location that also uses an Elsys device.
I believe there is a setting wrong in the Elsys device since I have replaced the router with no improvement. Thanks for any help!
