Its been some time now since I’ve been able to see live view on the iOS app, event recordings are working fine. If I go to device its states offline (Error code-22005) (but it records?) All 3 cameras were working (v1/v2 & v3) just purchased v4, same result. All cameras are on latest firmware.
App ver 3.0 iOs ver 18… help pls (no recent router firmware updates or changes)
Hopefully this is the correct category.
iOS 18 may be the issue there are many post about that on the forums. Go to your iOS device settings, open the WYZE app and see if it has permission to use your local network. I have iOS 17.7 and everything works just fine for 13 cameras.
This is iOS 17.7 and my WYZE app permissions.
Local network permissions, oh course!!! Thnx
All working now.
Great
The app has been getting worse and worse for a while now and about the time that iOS 18 came out maybe a little bit before I don’t remember exactly the cameras has been basically useless on the local network and I am on a new phone as well now with iOS 18, and I cannot use the cameras hardly at all and cannot adjust settings. Getting connectivity warnings and overall really bad performance. I have a wifi7 router, short distance to the cameras and I have local network setting turned on. However, if I turn off the local network on my phone or connect away from the house, the cameras work perfectly fine……… This is getting really old really fast
Well if it works perfectly fine when on cell data when you are away from home evidently it is not an app issue. Does it work on other wifi networks like a public network?
Maybe your new phone has some other required settings. What permissions have you given the WYZE app, like my post above?
I still have iOS 17.7 so I can’t comment on iOS 18.
Sounds logical.
Not really the network does not matter only when the cameras and the phone are on the same network does it matter, i’ve used cell Wi-Fi and Bluetooth only time there’s an issue is when they share a network
I have the 3.1.6.1 WYZE iOS app. on my iPad. I turned off band steering on my router and gave the 5.0GHz and the 2.4GHz networks different SSID names. All of my cameras are on the 2.4GHz network. I can put the iPad on the 2.4 or the 5.0 and it makes no difference to the WYZE app all 13 cameras are viewable. Must be something in iOS 18?
I don’t have band steering turned on and this may be something that is unique to iOS 18 or at least made worse by it. The app has been pretty crappy for a while. And either case the app needs an emergency update it’s not like I can just go get another phone
Oh another weird thing I have more of an issue with one of the cameras than the other but neither one functions properly. It sucks Because I had just upgraded to the version four cameras and gotten rid of the other cameras I had, with the plan of putting more version fours up outside And started a yearly unlimited subscription.
