Since replacing all my Wyze cams with something more reliable I haven’t looked at any Wyze recordings or events for over a week. Out of curiosity I just checked a while ago and I have absolutely no events since 11/14. Definitely a problem on the Wyze side of the process as there are many (as in hundreds) of events captured locally on the SD cards. 
So happy I’ve moved on. 
About time to move all these garbage toys to the trash bin and the app from my phone.
