I do not have any cloud events after 19:47 last night and still have none today from any of my cameras. Four V3, One V3 Pro and four WCO v1.
All cams have cam plus unlimited, all cams are on line, and the powered cams are all recording continuous to their SD cards. None of the setting have been changed on the cams.
Reviewing the playback from the cam SD cards there will plenty of vents, just no cloud events?
Non-stop cloud events here. Not sure what advice to give. Maybe a local/regional AWS outage?
I just went outside and walked in front of 4 cameras and all the cloud events are showing up on the events page. Maybe the gang got tired of being recorded. This is the first time in over 3 years I have not had a night full of cloud events.
Maybe the cooners found a deauth watch that someone dropped?
Twilight Zone version, very strange.
I just checked. 1500+ uploads since midnight. Every hour is full. No apparent connectivity loss.
Updateā¦ Filtering to AI Smart Detection tags only also shows it was tagging each hour as well.
I just checked events last night. I run a music synchronized Christmas light show, so my front yard cameras are going nuts with events. No, they donāt notify meā¦
@SlabSlayer how did you determine that 1500+ uploads number? I canāt imagine that you counted them, and as far as I know, the app does not tell you.
20 events loaded in every pull up. Filters off. 75 pulls to get to the bottom plus the initial 20. The last pull may not have been a full 20, so 75 total plus some.
75 x 20 = 1500+
OK, so you did functionally count them. Way too much effort for me to do that if busy. I did check using that method and came up with 100 event between 2350 and midnightā¦
It looks like Wyze had some ripples in service in the past 24 hours.
Events tab > scroll to the bottom (~midnight) > Edit (pencil icon, upper right) > Select All > count is in the top center:
Thanks man. I just checked and I have 209 since my original post this morning. I even put out extra marshmallows so the gang doesnāt do it again tonight. (I hope)
Thankfully, my āgangsā take turns. Mom and 4 kids, mom and 3 kids, mom and 2 kids, another mom and 2 kidsā¦ then a pack of big mean dads. Hereās the 1st wave:
As I said, I got 100 events in 10 minutes. NOT scrolling around 6,000 events for a day - 20 at a time!
I am experiencing something similar with one of my V3ās but not all of my cameras. It is recording to the SD card continuously but randomly stops uploading cloud events. I have a another v3 that partially overlaps with the problem cameraās field of view and it is uploading events just fine. The only difference between the two cameras as far as I can tell is age and only the problem camera has an SD card.
This started happening around the time of the forced security update for the V3ās. I wonder if it has something to do with the SD card being in the camera? Or maybe my camera is just getting old? Iāve had it since early 2020. If anyone has any thoughts Iād appreciate it!
Have you tried pulling the power cords for 30 seconds on your problem cameras and your WiFi access point?
Yes I have done that previously. Sorry I am realizing I should have put my troubleshooting steps in the above post.
Disconnecting the power cord or just restarting it from within the app works to get the cam uploading new events.
I believe I have recently done a hard reset on my router but it couldnāt hurt to do it again. Thanks for reminding me!
My concern is that did not previously happen and I would estimate that this has happened 4 of 5 times in the past 30 or so days. Basically since the forced security update.
You could try manually flashing back to older v3 firmware to get back to when you did not have this issue.
You are not alone. Not only no cloud events but also remote live view is not working. The only thing thatās working is local live view.
I am at the cottage and I can live view the cameras at the cottage but not at home. I rebooted the modem and router multiple times and nothing.
I turned the Wi-Fi off on my phone and I couldnāt see live view on any cameras, either at home or at the cottage.
Something is going on with Wyze servers.
Try turning off iCloud Private Relay on your iPhone/iPad.
