About 4 hours ago I used the app to turn on my pool pump via the outdoor plug. An hour ago i attemp to open the app on my samsung android and can see the favorites. I press to turn off the pump and nothing happens. I try to access any of the cameras, lights, door lock - i can no longer access anything. I logout, reboot the phone and now the app locks up when I logon right after submitti g the 2FA code.
Not being able to log back in, sounds like a Wyze server disruption. Your best play is take a break and come back a few-6-8 hours later (probably not that long) and they will have fixed their side. Does not sound like anything you did or can fix. You will know, when you can log back in on the phone app.
Thanks for the email. It has been almost 24 hours. All I’m getting from wyze support so far are the basic tech idiot suggestions to restart, stop the app etc. It worked fine and two hours later the app won’t load. I can logon the wyze.com but not view my devices from there. This is the only app not working for me.
Do you have a VPN or something similar on your phone? Do you get these same results if you are using mobile data only and or connected to Wi-Fi? Did you do any support recommendations that you were given? Did you recently update the app? What actual app version are you using currently?
No VPN. Ive tried using just the 5G connection and my wifi. I’ve not updated anything recently. Wyze app shows 3.1.5.569. I had no issues at 6pm. I used the Wyze app to turn on my pool pump. Put the phone and didnt touch it again until approximately 9pm and then could not access any of my 14 wyze devices. I have no doubt they pushed some update that did this. The logon screen I get now (that doesn’t allow me to logon, just spins) is totally different in appearance.
Is Wyze still in business? No solution from all the different “support people” emailing me since Thursday (today is Tuesday). No reply at all for two days after I requested a link to download the stable app release before 3.0. Ive been in tech support most of my life and would never have treated customers like this.
