New Wyze plug failed

Received early delivery on Wyze plugs and setup a week before vacation. While i was away, one plug failed which controlled a lamp in living room. I had someone who happened to be checking on the house at that moment power cycle the plug but it still would not come online. Next option is to do factory reset and/or remove and add device but i can’t do that remotely without human intervention since it requires pressing and holding the button.

Any ideas on how to get around this remotely?

Unfortunately you need to be with the Plug to press the button and to be in range of the Plug’s WiFi for setup with a device logged on to your account. So, unless you are willing to have your friend do all that, I think you will need to wait until you get home.
