How about allowing users to omit sound detection from a camera using Rules? For example, one of my cams faces outdoors. I still want it to detect video when im home but not interior voices.

Do you want it to not detect sound events, or not record sound(interior voices) during motion events? What does Rules have to do with this request? You can either disable “detects sound” in the camera event recording settings if you dont want sound events or disable “record sound” in the camera advanced settings if you dont want to record sound during motion events.

If you are attempting to create a schedule rule that will keep the cam recording Motion Activated Events all day but disable the sound recording while you are home, this isn’t a possible Rule Action within the Rules Engine.
Disabling Sound Detection and\or Sound Recording for a specific cam thru the Rules Actions would be a New Feature Request. These requests are suggested to Wyze thru posting of Wishlist topics. The topic for your request has already been established. Follow the link, vote for it at the top, search 
the topic for similar related posts, like 
some posts, and add your own post to the thread with details on the application of your use case to support the request.
