When you need to update your network name or password for security purposes, what then? It ought to be a It ought to be an option. I’ve spent countless hours reconnecting my cameras ands other WiFi devices. The time its taken would stun most people. In fact I rarely admit it but the house I own was basically its own faraday cage and over the last 4 years I’ve done my best to make it a smart home.
Unfortunately i had no experience but ended up learning home networking All said and I still have issues here and there with wyze. Mostly the complete inability of the company to hit the mark these days.
For nearly a year I was told to hold tight when it came to my annual unlimited subscription since something new was coming. Then the app updates came and prevented me from benefiting from the learning I provided my cameras to recognize my family, it literally took Mr hundreds of hours, the app was horrible and now that feature is gone entirely. It had been the only reason I stayed with wyze. Now I’m stuck with all the junk equipment ands can’t use
Wyze should add a bulk reconnect option so you don’t have to reset everything when changing routers.
You don’t have to change anything when you change routers, - but one thing. You name the new router the same network name and password, your old router was - then everything just works like magic.
