I just picked up and deployed, last night, a 2 pack of mesh routers to replace my aging ASUS RT-AC68U wireless router. While the setup was easy and coverage seems great, there is a SERIOUS lack of parental controls & content filtering. I had been used to very easily setting up this filtering based on creating a group of my children’s devices and blocking certain kinds of content and protocols (P2P, etc.) on my ASUS device that gave me confidence that it was working as intended. Even on the latest firmware that was flashed upon deployment, the ONLY parental controls I have are blocking domains…thats it. Am I missing something here? Are there future plans to implement this? Should I have gone with a completely different product?

And couple this lack of parental controls with the iOS 18 introduction of rotating MAC addresses, I can’t block devices for very long either. What are my options for better parental controls here? Like the OP posted above, maybe move to another mesh router equipped with better parental controls?
