@WyzeDave - is there any way to verify I will be on the testing list for RTSP? I am pretty sure I answered the survey but it’s been so long, I cannot remember now.
This is correct, it went to the people that submitted their emails on the original survey and said they would be willing to offer future feedback.
There is about 300 emails on my list, happy to look up your email to see. I don’t know how much there will be though, we’ve only used it once to ask a question about RTSPS.
We probably won’t go back further than Wyze Cam v3, but don’t want to say exactly which ones yet in case they don’t make the final list. We do want to be available to more than just future cameras so you don’t have to buy new cameras to use it.
I appreciate that. I wasn’t sure if you were limiting it based on the camera hardware like the OG camera line that use Gwell-Based hardware.
I sent you a PM with my email so you could look it up / add it.
I would like to be added as well. I have two brand new v4’s and one v3 that would love to turn this one. I also just bought the flood light.
For anyone that isn’t on the email list, Here’s the survey I am sending now about camera connectivity.

We plan to start beta in October, and if all goes well have the first batch of cameras RTSP official in the Wyze app by end of the year. The first batch will be v3, v3 pro, Pan v2, and Pan v3.
Thank you! Survey completed, looking forward to beta RTSP!
This part of the survey got my attention:
If a Wyze Cam loses Internet, it may automatically reboot to quickly reconnect, which in normal cases solves some issues before a user has a poor experience. But with RTSP, a reboot means the camera needs to download a small module from the cloud before streaming again. One future option is to store that module on an SD card so it can run without Internet, but adding this now would slightly delay the launch.
It makes me wonder if having this feature be completely local to the camera (when the module on the microSD card is available) would eliminate the problems many users have reported when trying to use Wyze Cams in places where Internet connectivity is intermittent, as in the recent Wyze Cam v3 Timelapse & SD Recording Stops Without Internet Connection and many other Forum topics. If the RTSP solution allows Cams to run offline without rebooting for lack of connectivity (and thereby mucking up the microSD recording scheme), then I think this can really add flexibility and make the Cams reasonable choices for more remote use cases.
I don’t have any cameras newer than V3s and no plans to buy any. For me, the newer cameras don’t offer any benefit. I’m losing interest in this thread.

I knew that the v2s wouldn’t be on this list because they had severe resource limitations. But what would be really great is if they took the open source code from the Wyze Hacks SD card project and made it work with the current firmware on those models. Especially since they are already talking about potentially needing an SD card in the camera in order to make sure that it continues to run if you lose internet, I might as well just get a head start by copying the code from Wyze Hacks and make sure to add some of those extra features with it too, such as enabling PoE, etc. I would expect that they could mostly set it up in a way that would continue to leave their current security protocols working effectively while allowing and being able to implement rtsp and PoE and other features on the cameras that have limited resources like the v2s.

Hopefully those get considered for a round two version of this effort.
I am really excited that the V3s will be getting this. They are the only camera that has an invisible/near IR sensor (I absolutely despise the visible far IR spectrum that all the other cameras use… It’s toi distracting and flashy draws attention and creeps out babies/toddlers if used as a baby monitor). That was basically the only reason I didn’t give them all away to family when I got 2K cameras. Now that they also have RTSP [soon], I’m excited they’ll be more useful again.
I also have a whole bunch of V3 pros that are just sitting on a shelf that I mostly replaced when I got v4s. I might actually go swap out the V4s with V3Pros until the V4s get RTSP.
will floodlight be supported? i like my floodlight pro, but i am really close to replacing it because i want rtsp in that location
I’ve two Floodlight Pro’s and hope they get RTSP as well.
OMG YES! I third this request.
FLPro is my favorite and primary camera. I have 7 total (6 up and running currently), and all other cameras are just secondary benefits for a closer or targeted view.
FLPro would be awesome to have RTSP on. It makes sense that most “Pro” cameras should get RTSP as a standard.
I’m not totally heartbroken that it’s not in the first batch of test models, but I really hope that it gets supported eventually so it can continue to be my all-time favorite camera so far.
I would settle for the ability to download files from the SD card. I am under the impression that one of these entities has that capability.
Looks like I’m 4th in line to say I want RTSP for the FLP as well! It is my favorite product out there!!!
TBH, I want RTSP and all the cameras that support on-board detection of objects to have the ability to turn them into Home Assistant entities with local API communication……like how reolink and tp-link do already.
And Eufy, and allegedly Ubiquiti UniFi, Amcrest, Dahua, Foscam, Arlo, etc.
We’re all just waiting on Wyze to catch up to the industry standard here.
Hint hint Wyze.

joined to comment that I am looking forward to RTSP.
I have my fingers crossed the new Wyze Bulb Cam gets it too.
Ideally anything non-solar powered that is v3 or greater would get RTSP, this would put Wyze in line with their competitors.
I’d have to upgrade a number of my cameras since I have about 1/3 of them that are < v3 but this would help with a lot of integration stuff with Home Assistant and having to use workarounds like DWB and others.
My three disappointments with waze is
- Lack of a 24/7 Wyze Home Monitor/Controller that I can set and basically just glance at when a notification comes through.
- Having a Notification coming in, clicking on it only to have it show live instead of what triggered it.
- Notifications that will not suspend or turn off. Regardless of manually clicking off notifications or running a short cut, While the text notifications will turn off, the push notifications still come through
