My camera lifts off the mount to create additional articulation. It’s the only way it would work on a ceiling or eve mounting location.

For those using the eve mount and PIR detection, about how high is your camera mounted and how far away are you getting PIR motion alerts?
Those who said shadows are causing alerts that is from non PIR detection, right?
I’m currently using a Wyze cam pro and every shadow moving from headlights in the distance sets it off. Using an eve/ ceiling mount in looking for PIR detection of 20’. Thanks.
These are designed primarily for vertical wall placement. Most soffits are horizontal or slightly angled, which is even worse for these cams. It can be rigged to work.
I have one mounted to a warehouse about 20’ up. It’s perfect.
