same issues with both my pan v3 cameras. this is obviously an equipment issue
100% agree, this issue is persistent and ongoing, my camera is out of warranty but Wyze says pound salt.
Wyze TS repeatedly states the actions to resolve connectivity is 1) Move camera closer to routerāwhich is not doable since my CamPanV3 is mounted up high outside & 2) Power recycle the cameraāwhich is doable if Iām at home. But if away from home then this is not doable.
So far the 2nd TS resolution seems to work, I just got a smart plug which I can control from an app via the wifi, that is my current problem resolution. I hope this ability to remotely power off/on the camera works and some new related issue of power recycling does not pop up to compound the matter more.
The suggestion to move the camera closer to the router, isnāt to permanently install it close to the router. Rather, itās an attempt to isolate the problem.
If the problem persists when closer, then the problem is with the camera. If it resolves the problem, then itās a WiFi issue.
Ideally, this test should have been attempted prior to installation.

I just went to download the new Wyzw 3.0 app touted as a new feature loaded reliable app.
I just went scrolling down to read reviews on it and I see a ton of adverse views of all sorts of problems people are encountering
with this new app.
Iām not gonna download and upgrade to the new app and open a can of more worms. Seems the app isnāt what its touted to be.
What I noticed with the Cam Pan v3ās that I have and doing all the disconnects but still functioning even though supposedly āofflineā they are mysteriously going into āPrivacy Modeā involuntarily. On the home screen of the v3ās, privacy mode is turned on and you cannot turn it off. The v3ās do not rotate to the privacy position and continue tracking movement and recording to sdcard that you cannot view until the camera is back online. And that is so sporadic.
I have temporarily solved 1 pan v3 by taking it down and putting up a cam v4. 36 hrs later still going with no failures/disconnects. Itās not the solution for why I wanted the pan v3 but it at least abates my frustration.
Anyone else pick up on the privacy mode anomaly?
I installed a floodlight pro a few days ago for my daughter. Itās a little far from the router so I expected to have connection problems. What I didnāt expect is that even when the camera is supposed;y disconnected, it still is recording to the cloud.
Same with pan v3 because liveviewing is still available from Alexa app but not Wyze when it disconnects. I donāt understand what has happened at Wyze and why these issues are occurring. In my case with the pan v3 was maybe 10-12 feet from a mesh router node with only a window in the sightline.
That Iāve done prior to installāsetting it closer to router, getting it connected and video stream checked before I mounted it high up.
I meant that high up there is not an easy quick access each time it loses connectionā¦not going to keep on bringing out an A ladder
and set it up each time.
If it isnāt disconnecting when closer to the router, then the issue isnāt the camera; itās in a sub-optimal WiFi spot now.
So I took a problem pan v3 that I disconnected and brought inside and setup again in a room. The connection seems to be holding but Iām puzzled by something, where are the vehicle detections coming from inside a bedroom?
Never a dull moment with Wyze cams.

Before I added a mesh node with my router, I had connection problems with a couple of V3s that are farther away. I messed with the routerās antennas. I was able to make those problem V3s more stable, but then other cameras started disconnecting.

I just updated with the new firmware 4.50.5.0587 and so far so good.

Yes, the new firmware update appears to have stabilized my cam pan v3ās along with the vdb v2 firmware update, except the doorbell press push notification to my cellphone is still broken.

Can confirm, new software update fixed the disconnect issue.

Are you referring to the new Wyze 3.0 app on Google store, or the latest firmware?
I updated to the latest firmware, but did not fix the disconnect issue.
Yup fixed mine too. No sacrifices of any species necessary.
